Your words stay yours.

Diktator processes speech recognition locally on supported Apple devices. Translation with Diktator's own speech model also stays on the device.

Diktator does not send your dictated audio, transcripts, documents, or personal writing to a cloud transcription service.

Local speech recognition

Audio and recognized text stay on your device unless you choose to send the result through another app or service.

Two translation choices

Diktator Local Translation uses the selected speech model on your device. Apple Translation is a separate option and follows Apple's processing and settings; on-device availability depends on downloaded language resources and operating-system settings.

Microphone permission is explicit

Microphone access is used only while you start and control recording. The recording capsule makes active capture visible.

Model downloads are explicit

The app may connect to the internet when you approve downloading local speech models or language resources. The request is for model files, not for sending your audio, transcripts, documents, or personal content.

Online account boundaries

The direct Mac edition uses limited account, order, payment, license, activation, update, recovery, and security records to operate the product. App Store purchases and downloads are handled by Apple under Apple's policies. Dictation content is not part of these records.

Temporary files stay local

Temporary audio and diagnostic files are cleaned locally. Downloaded model files remain on your device until you remove them or use the available uninstall tools.

Other apps are separate

If you send dictated text through Mail, Messages, WhatsApp, a browser, or another app, that sending is controlled by that app or service, not by Diktator.
